First files ready for test printing - 5 compartment Third, body roof and footboards.
First prints successful - there are some minor alterations to be made but overall we are really pleased with how these have printed. We are also hoping to add some innovations to these coaches and we think it is worth testing these at the early stage.
Render images of the third vehicle type, the Diagram 10 Lavatory First are now available.
Render drawings of diagram 47 and 58 carriages added.
Render drawings of diagram 16 carriage added. All 6 vehicle types are now drawn.
Second test printing of 5 compartment third is underway.
Test printing of parts and details underway
Images of 2nd test print now added above.
Workload has delayed development but refinements to file data have been made to enhance the quality of finished prints.
We are waiting for the arrival of a new 3D printer which has an even higher resolution than our existing machines. This will allow us to push the level of detail on these coaches further and enhance the overall quality of the kits. Our view is that it is worth holding back the project in anticipation of the potential benefits. In the meantime we are looking at other areas where these kits can be improved or where we can make construction easier for the builder. The new printer is expected 3rd quarter 2025.
As you can see the design development work for our very first coach kits is well under way. These kits will be of six different GNoSR coach types that will allow the modeller to create an accurate andformation.
